Soccer Shots announced today that it has been named to Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500® list, considered the world’s first, best and most comprehensive franchise ranking. Soccer Shots has been rated as the top children’s soccer franchise and was ranked in the top half of the list overall.
The prestigious award validates the progress the company has made in the past year. In 2018, the brand added more than 20 franchises, bringing the total to 117 franchise partners throughout the United States.
“It’s an honor to receive this ranking,” said Justin Bredeman, CEO of Soccer Shots. “As we look ahead to the rest of 2019, we are excited to build upon this momentum as we grow into new territories and hit more milestones.”
The key factors that go into Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. All franchises are given a cumulative score based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500® in ranking order.
“As we celebrate 40 years of producing the Franchise 500, it’s a good opportunity to step back and look at how much has changed since that first ranking in 1980,” says Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur. “While the franchise business model has changed little, the strongest franchise brands are constantly evolving and innovating to keep up with changing trends and technology.”
Aimed at positively impacting children’s lives, Soccer Shots strives to be the best 30 minutes of a child’s week through best-in-class coaching, communication and curriculum. Serving children ages two through eight, each franchise emphasizes having the best coaches in their communities, an exceptional customer experience including ongoing communication and an expert-approved curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Programs are customized for three different age groups. The weekly program teaches children soccer fundamentals and character-building skills. Soccer Shots hosts private sessions through local schools and childcare centers as well as public programs, which are typically hosted through park districts.
Entrepreneurially spirited individuals interested in owning a Soccer Shots franchise should have the ability to invest $41,034 – $53,950, which includes working capital and a typical franchise fee of $34,500. Plus, Soccer Shots is a proud partner of the VetFran program. Approved candidates receive 15% off of the total franchise fee. Ideal franchisees have a strong passion for making a positive impact on children and a desire to lead their own business. Soccer experience is not necessary to join the franchise, but knowledge and dedication for the sport is preferred.
Over its 40 years in existence, the Franchise 500® has become both a dominant competitive measure for franchisors and a primary research tool for potential franchisees. Soccer Shots’ position on the ranking is a testament to its strength as a franchise opportunity.
